I started a TBR jar at the beginning of the year with challenges to read every month. This month I pulled to read a debute novel. I had already started this book about the time it came out earlier this year but at the time I just couldn't get into it. So, I figured this month I would give it a go again. 

I still had trouble when I picked this up earlier this month. The beginning really seems pretty slow. Things do slowly start to pick up and then once they are going, they really get going. I still feel like I am pretty on the fence about it. I would probably give it about a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I read a large amount of reviews on this one before I ever started it. It seemed that people either really loved it or they really disliked it. Me, I really don't know which way I swing.

That being said, even though I don't know where I stand, I will read the next one. I enjoyed the actual story enough that I would really like to see where it is going.
